Armoured gloves owned by Maximilian I (1459-1519) who was the Holy Roman Emperor from 1508 until his death. These gloves were forged circa 1490 and are currently in the exhibition “The Last Knight: The Art, Armor, and Ambition of Maximilian I” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
